AGDQ 2024: Real Nerds Finish Fast

It’s that time of year again, people…When top shelf nerds, dorks, dweebs, doofuses and dingleberries from around the world gather together to do what they do best. Have horrifically awkward social interactions and play some video games! That’s right, this year’s Awesome Games Done Quick, the bi-annual week long, 24 hour a day video game playing marathon is officially underway.

Record holding players participate in many types of fun playthroughs throughout the event spanning across just about every console you can think of: There are always some amazing speedruns to catch as well as races, glitch displays and the occasional blindfold run. It’s a lot of fun and of course, all for a good cause. This season’s charity sees money being raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation and the lineup of titles curated is yet another impressive one.

You can take a look at the full schedule by clicking here (can’t wait for that Metroid Dread race on Wednesday morning) and It’s all streaming live so watch the whole thing now and maybe even donate if you have the means!

Godspeed to these Champions. These Gods. These Nerds amongst men.
